Bali FBO is Next Step in ExecuJet’s Asian Expansion

Switzerland-based business aviation services group ExecuJet Aviation, which is exhibiting at the Singapore Airshow for the first time (Booth D87), is set to significantly boost its presence in the Asian market during the course of 2014. The most prominent example of this expansion is the company’s new FBO at Bali International Airport in Indonesia, but it is also growing its fleet of managed aircraft in this part of the world and increasing its maintenance capability.

A350 XWB makes its Singapore début

The A350 XWB flight test aircraft (MSN3) has arrived at Singapore Changi Airport for the Singapore Airshow where it will perform its first ever airshow flying display on the 11th and 12th February.
The test aircraft, MSN3 passed the first 1000 flight test hours for the A350 XWB programme since the first flight with MSN1 on 14th June 2013. Overall the five A350 flight test aircraft will fly 2,500 fight test hours in just over 12 months. This achievement is further demonstration of the steady progress the programme is making on its way to type certification in Q3 2014.

Asia Set to Spend Big On Airliners and Defense

Airlines from Indonesia, Indian and Vietnam are expected to announce at least $17 billion worth of new aircraft orders at this week’s Singapore Airshow.

On the eve of the 2014 event, the Boeing sales force was working to nail down what is expected to be a contract for up to 50 of its new 737 Max models. The customer is expected to be an Indian operator, with Jet Airways, SpiceJet and Air India seen as the most likely buyers.

Asian Investment Yielding Handsome Returns for Embraer

For Brazil’s Embraer, a lot has changed in the 13 years since it first laid brick and mortar in Asia. The world’s major airframe makers now consider the Asia Pacific region the biggest market for airliners in the world, and Embraer’s establishment first of an office in Beijing and later a joint-venture to build ERJ 145 regional jets in Harbin has proved prescient.
